 Problems faced while travelling to colleges in North campus
Travelling to colleges is a big challenge. Students studying in DU face a daily headache while travelling. There are three aspects in this problem mode of travelling whether it is a metro or a bus, secondly the time that is consumed due to jam and thirdly cost that is the major issue. To reduce the cost of travelling students prefer bus but this consumes more time. Also while travelling in bus girls have to face various assaults. They have to come across people who intentionally touch them to make them feel uncomfortable.
Also the bus service has reduced these days due to which students cannot timely attend the classes.
Students who use their own vehicles face parking problems. They aren’t provided parking within college premises and parking their vehicles outside creates traffic jam.
For those who travel by metro, have to pay extra rickshaw and auto fares which increase their monthly budget of travelling.
There must be some steps taken to increase women security while travelling in buses. Also fares of rickshaws at these educational hubs must be taken to consideration. Most importantly bus services must be increased for the buses which are the major ones connecting the colleges. These problems must be eradicated to make travelling for students efficient, effective and easy.
