From knick- knack roadside eating joints to small but famous cafes/restaurants. A walk through this food street and we now know what draws all the Delhi University South Campus students to this lane.Kev’s – Maggie Point
The famous eatery can be spotted near the entrance of satya. The small roadside kiosk is known for its variants of Maggie but it also serves snacks like pastries, croissants etc. The Mexican Chicken Maggie is the best seller. It comes with tender, boneless pieces of chicken, seasoned with coriander powder, cumin powder, chilli powder, garlic and paprika. But due to the banning of Maggie in Delhi, the popularity of Maggie in this shop is declining and the demand of Maggie is decreasing.QD’s
Get out of Maggie point, take a few steps ahead into the market and you will find a big board with QD’s written on it. This place is best known for tandoori momos. The demand is especially high for their chicken tandoori momos served with mint chutney. Unlike the regular steamed momos, these are cooked on charcoal and have a smoky flavor. The crispy coating is stuffed with shredded chicken and is favorites with the regulars, other popular items here include: mocktails, chowmein, thukpa, Manchurian and fried rice.Big Yellow Door (BYD)
With a bright yellow, slightly tilted door this place would be hard to miss. The bindaas hangout is usually packed with youngsters, overcrowded at times especially in the evening. Their juicy burgers and refreshing coolers, both not more than Rs 100 each, are the driving force of this place. The Bomb Chicken Burger is a must- have, packed with two fat chicken patties and lettuce topped with a spicy salsa, served with tomato ketchup sauce and in- house Cajun sauce which is Cajun seasoning mixed with mayonnaise and ketchup. The Rocky Road Shake- frozen milk on chocolate syrup base, mixed with crushed walnut and finished with crushed ice is ideal to beat the summer heat.
