GET SET By Kashika Kaur Walla

GET SET

Hello freshers!
As August is nearing, there is one question on everyone’s mind; “Which college?”. While some of you must have already finalised what course and college they are joining, the others would be anticipating the much awaited cut-offs of the Delhi University.
First things first, in order to be prepared for the admission procedures of Delhi University,  you must have at least an idea of what college you’re aiming for and which courses are in your priority. An easier way to have an idea about the cut-offs is by checking the previous year lists and then getting an estimate. This ensures you about which colleges are within your aggregate.
Another important thing is the aggregate, while a few courses and colleges like St. Stephen’s College set up a minimum percentage requirement in specific subjects, others don’t. So, it is advisable to check up the requirements while viewing the percentage lists released by the colleges. The aggregate is the percentage of your best 4 subjects. This aggregate specifically includes English. Also, additional subjects like Physical Education and Engineering, Drawing, etc are not counted by most of the colleges.
Again, read up the requirements while viewing the lists released by colleges. It all does sound a bit overwhelming, but rest assured, once you clear the cut-off, admission into a Delhi University college can be one of the simplest processes, just don’t forget to carry your original documents and multiple photocopies!
Wishing you all the Best of Luck!
