COLLEGE LIFE: DAY ONE COMING CLOSE?
By now, you would have realised that the
glorious college life doesn’t come so easily. Though, once you’ve entered it,
you’re in for some fun!
Once you’ve decided the college you want to go to, the nervousness about adaptation
begins. A whole huge bunch of questions start to cross your mind. The most
common ones would be about the professors, the metro rides, the course, and
most importantly, fitting in with the right group of people. We might not
admit, but we all imagine a ‘type’ of friends we’d like to have. The kind of
people we would want to ‘hang out’ with, and bunk all those boring lectures
with.
All this preparation and planning goes down the drain when you enter college.
Expectations never get real and you see yourself walk off on them, trying to
jell around with the real people you’ll spend the coming few years with.
So, don’t worry too much on that account. People are amazing everywhere, and
even if they aren’t, there is always that one person who’s been sent to the
same college just so he or she could become your college lifeline.
Just make sure you have that smile on your face and openness in your mind to go
ahead and confidently talk to anyone who comes your way. After all, it’s
college, not school, and Mommy can’t always come to the rescue, or professors
can’t become best of friends with your parents over the deadly PTM sessions.
In college, it’s going to be you and your intuition, only.
So Best Of Luck!
