The Essentials: Things you need to carry to survive college

Let’s face it, the transition from school to college brings in major changes in your life. While earlier it was a whole lot easy to decide what to and what not to take to school (thanks to the rigorous time table, there was barely any space in our bags for anything but books), in college the choice becomes extremely difficult. So here is a list of a few things you should not forget to keep in your bag.
1) A register: In college you don’t need to carry different notebooks for different classes but that doesn’t mean that you should completely do away with the concept of notebooks. So keeping at least one register is a good idea.
2) An umbrella: With the weather changing its mood every second, you never know when you might need an umbrella to save you from getting completely drenched or completely soaked in your own sweat.
3) Water: Yes yes, I know. You just got out of school, you don’t need to carry water bottles. Now, you can buy them whenever you want, plus which college doesn’t have a water cooler. But maybe, someday you will find yourself in a situation where these things might not easily available. Having water in your bag, thus, won’t be a bad option.
4) Sunscreen: Believe me, unless you like that tanned look on yourself or don’t really mind having tan lines, you would want to have sunscreen handy.
5) Change: Carrying a 500rs note is not going to help you. Even though you have money you will not be able to use it. Whether it’s getting a rickshaw or a bread pakoda from your canteen, you are going to need change so it’s better to carry some.
