ARE MARKS ENOUGH TO JUDGE YOUR CAPABILITY? By Pooja Taparia

ARE MARKS ENOUGH TO JUDGE YOUR CAPABILITY

95.6%,92% or 99%...?

How much did you score?
Still not satisfied?
You better not be! Talent is not in your marks, it’s within you!
Is actual talent recognized by the percentage of students? Or is this the measure of talent?
Oh well!
We are living in an era where the capability of a person is judged through a shit of paper.
High percentage does not describe the efficiency or versatility of an individual. I did not score 95% or 99%. I am not in SRCC or HINDU College and yet I believe i am not less than anyone.
Actual talent is hidden in how you treat the situation. How you face the society. Dreams are achieved by those who believe in the beauty of their passion. Good marks can only feed you with good college or a good job but does not make you unique.
Sachin Tendulkar, even though he is 10th fail but is admired by all and is more than satisfied unlike the book worms.
This is the time when many of you might be chasing good colleges , some will get in and some will not!
Soon cutoffs will be out. Even if you don’t get the college you dreamt of, just remember it’s not the end. If you are one of those who did not score well and can’t get into a good college, there are many out there like you, like us and are admired by the world. Just focus on what you want to explore in yourself and try to choose the college.
A good College or marks can’t stop you from exploring yourself. It is you who is responsible for yourself and your dreams and not anyone else.

#Scored #less? No need to #worry by Himani Cheema

#Scored #less? No need to #worry

With the CBSE board results out, admission hush-hush is on with anxiety which college students will end up in.

Yes the competition is hot out there but you needn’t get downhearted if you’ve scored between 40%-70%. The educational field is vast and there is a place for everyone. While there is a ballyhoo regarding University of Delhi, many don’t know about a few private universities providing quality education out there. Not all private universities are bad. Well-known courses like BBA aren’t there at DU but are available in private universities. It is better to opt for a course serving your interest rather than being in a college of DU which does not provide the course you’ve wanted to get into.

Always put your course before college and study the background of the college before you take admission into it.

In most cases, the rankings shown by various universities aren’t transparent. If you plan to go into a private university, you should be aware of its fee-structure, the faculty and the course criteria. Also, you always have the option of enrolling yourself in Delhi University’s School of Open Learning which offers numerous courses like English(hons), B.com(hons), Political Science(hons) etc. You will be awarded a DU degree once you complete 3 years of education. There are a number of job-oriented courses such as Hotel Management, Fashion designing etc. It is advisable for you to do some research and dig out various good options you may find suitable for your career.

There is plenty of fish in the sea, all you need is to catch the right one!

Good luck!
