This is not the end of world - #Options to #consider with #average score in #12th by Aastha Dua

This is not the end of world - #Options to #consider with #average score in #12th

97% , 98.3% , 99% ! Nobody is talking about less than these figures. How we all wish to go back to kindergarten! Thousands of people are wishing to be a part of one-way mission to mars because its quite upseting on our home planet, right?
But that's no reason to be pessimistic. Getting good marks is a great thing, but it is not the only thing in student's life, even if you have not scored well in your boards, you've got a number of options to look forward to.
1) Selfie sessions are our favorite! How about turning it into a career? If you got love for photography, you can enroll for a formal education in photography,or even cinematography. The courses for the same are provided through distance learning or you can apply to institutes like FTTII, Pune ,a well recognised institute for cinematography.
2) If you have a pleasing personality and good communication skills, you can join flight crew. There are various one year diploma programmes in Aviation and Hospitality Management. Also, if you've got a good fashion taste and know what the latest trend in fashion industry is,you can join a course in Fashion Designing too.
3) Apart from these if you got a 'Filmy keeda' in you, you can join a course in performing arts-acting, music, dance..the list is endless.
4) So you think you can sell an extra pair of wings to a bird? BINGO! you can join a diploma course in sales and marketing. Its not always a BMS drgree or MBA degree to fetch you a fragranced career path. A diploma course can do or you can opt for a correspondance degree too. So how about selling eggs to a hen next?
5) India is becoming a hub for MNCs'. You can simply join a language course of your choice and get recruited in an embassy as an interpreter or a PR officer.
Some of the institutes to offer such courses are-
-School of Language,JNU
-CIEFL, Hyderabad
-University of Delhi
-Ram Krishana Mission,Kolkata
-Rajhasthan University,Jaipur.
6) You may be bad at organising your class notes but if you are good at organising 'staff n stuff', Join an Event Management course. the course is available as a diploma programme,as well as a graduate programme.
If above options sulk you even more because you want to persue an academic course then go for SOL under Delhi University or IGNOU programmes.
So this is where you can finally let go of that looser personality you've been trapped in since the day your results have been declared! Discover yourself! You're at a pivotal moment of your life. Don't let anyone discourage you from doing what you want to do. You're the one who has to live with yourself, not them!

If I was a #book by Puja Yadav

If I was a Book

If I was a book,I would like to be a library book, so I would be taken home by all different kinds of people - Cornelia Funke.

The library connects us with the insight and knowledge. Libraries store the energy that fuels our imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspires us to explore and achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life. For some, libraries are just buildings having thousands of books but for some, a library is the delivery room for the birth of ideas, a place where history comes to life.

The library of Jawahar Lal Nehru University{JNU}, South campus library, Central library, Arts library. These libraries serve their readers with thousands of books of their interests.

North Campus college libraries are also of worth for students. St.Stephens college is famous for its library, which also houses a collection of rare sanskrit and persian manuscripts.

The South Campus Library, University of Delhi facilitates access for South Delhi residents. A four storey building, in beautiful surrounding at the centre of the campus, offers an congenial environment for study and research. The total sitting capacity is about 275 seats, with reading halls on all the floor along with the collection.

Library Hours:
Monday to Friday – 9:00 am to 7.30 pm
Saturday – 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

The JNU Library has resources rich in Social Sciences, Humanities and Sciences and provides access to books, journals, reports, online databases, e-books, electronic theses and dissertations. The  library is the “centre of knowledge” of JNU. The nine storey building is surrounded by lush, glossy green trees. It is the highest tower of the campus.

For those who love to be in the  midst of books, these libraries will give treat to their imagination.

I remember a dialogue from a movie says:
Books hamari sabse achi dost hoti hain.. Na kabhi demand karti h.. Na kabhi complain.. bass saath deti hai

#College #life – most happening days by Puja Yadav

College life – most happening days

School days are the most perfect days of our life but college days are the most happening.

We meet new people, see new places and  take a step towards our career.

But colleges are not meant for studies only. There is life beyond professor’s lectures. Most of the students believed this after spending some time in college.

Parthsarthy Rocks in Jawahar Lal Nehru University[JNU] campus.

It is a gem of green spaces. One of the coolest places to hangout with friends and for couples to cuddle up in quiet corners.

It just 5km distance from Hauz Khas metro station and after that you will be at the highest point in Delhi having wonderful wildlife like peacocks, foxes, scorpions and snakes though they don't bite and don't come out in daytime. The best time to visit this place is evenings watching sunsets, winds blowing and peacocks wandering around.

Very few people know about this place. It is one of the secrets of Delhi. This place reminds me of those lines from a song :

Zindagi ek safar hai suhana..yaha kal kya ho kisne jana….
