Presently, Delhi university rank amongst the top universities in all over India. The student of various states willingly want to join Delhi university. Because the popularity of Delhi university increased through the media and also the social media.

Presently, there are two campus in Delhi university. One is the north campus and other is south campus. The value and the position makes the campus colleges different from the out campus colleges.

NORTH CAMPUS

The North campus maintaining its position and prestigious level to the top. The colleges like Sri Ram college of commerce, St. Stephen , Hansraj, etc. The students who have scored maximum marks in their previous exam wants to join these top colleges because of the best placement by the best firms of India.The competition for admission into all north campus colleges of university of Delhi is extremely fierce. The reason is that the students who are passed out from their school. They want get admission in popular and well known colleges.

SOUTH CAMPUS

South campus is the second hand of the Delhi university. Colleges like Delhi college of Art and Commerce, Atma ram santaran dharma college, College of vocational studies etc, are some of the college that make the south campus of the Delhi university. This campus is well known for excellence in life sciences with departments like moleculor biology, Microbiology, biochemistry and also professional studies with departments like business economics and financial studies. South campus also provided the hostels(pg's) for outer students and also for the girls safety.

OUT OF CAMPUS COLLEGES

Out of campus colleges are not counted in the campus colleges but all are affiliated from delhi university. These are some colleges like Janki devi memorial college, Bharti college, Kalindi college Bhagini nivedita college etc, under delhi university are the extended off campus colleges.

The major drawbacks of out of campus colleges are the transportation problem. Especially for the girls safety. Because the most colleges of delhi university are situated at the outer region in delhi. There are lack of hostel facility for girls and boys. Hence, the off campus colleges are lack behind the colleges compared to south and north campus

It is the only college in the University of Delhi who has upgraded it's classrooms to facilitate teaching through modern gadgets by shifting from traditional style of teaching. SRCC attracts some of the most talented young people every year,not simply because of its reputation for excellence and infrastructure but more importantly because of its dedicated faculty.

#RAMJAS COLLEGE, is a constituent college of university of Delhi located in north campus. It is one of the first three colleges established under DU. Famous for its rich history and many traditions, Ramjas is widely renowned as one of the most famous higher educational institutions in India offering degrees in the liberal arts, the sciences as well as commerce. Student and alumni of the college are termed Ramjasite.

#St STEPHEN'S COLLEGE, Church of north India,is a christian constituent college of the university of Delhi,India. St. Stephen's offers degrees in the liberal arts and the sciences. The college has produced a long line of distinguished alumni including several Members of parliament, and the presidents of three countries. Students and alumni of this college are termed 'Stephenians'.

University Of Delhi has grown one of the largest universities all over the world with 16 faculties,86 academic departments,77 colleges and 5 other recognised institutes.

With their intense acts and heart touching dialogues, you can never get enough of them. Because when they perform, they put their heart and soul to it. Trying to put forward an issue they scream, they dance, they cry, but most importantly: they try. 

They are the street play society of different colleges. These societies of different colleges of DU perform on socially relevant issues such as Dowry, early marriage, corruption, and more, all around the year.

Delhi University's most awaited season is “FESTIVE” season for all the DUiets. 

They call it the “forerunners of excitement”, the one thing that students look forward after their extensive winter vacations. 

The campuses are buzzing, the budgets are rising and the student union presidents are running out of planners.... the college festivals in Delhi University are surely close!

For all you newbies out there in one of the top most universities in the world, almost stepping into the grand realm of DU, this is exactly how the month of february will be like for you.

There are number of buzzing fests in University of Delhi which are mind-boggling.

Colleges have given wonderful names to their fest none of them is lesser than ones.

#Croosroads:

Shri Ram College of Commerce, croosroads is a kaleidoscope of sorts. An amalgamation of numerous events, fun and absolute enjoyment packed in four days. The high profile sponsors supporting the extravagent events is definitely a plus, this attracts celebrity performances.

#Nexus:

Sri Venkateshwara College, Indian classical music to chocolate eating contests and competitive karaoke, the array of events is testimonial to the effort put in the organisation and arrangement.

#Confluence: 

Hansraj Collge, for one of the best crowds and music, head for this fest! It is all about the music here. With great musicians having performed at in the past along with own events like 'solo song' and 'DJ wars', one can definitely be optimistic about the future of the music in our country.

North campus is known for its pocket friendly cafes/restaurants but at times it is task to find a decent yet pocket friendly bar/ lounge. Here is a complete guide for an economical booze in and around north canpus.

Urban hub 

Yes, you heard it right.  900 for two including alcohol. They're not only know for their live sports screening but also for the happy hours that go all day long on weekdays. Along with pocket friendly sheeshas they also offer combos which include both snaks and alcohol. Though snaks and main course have nothing special about there taste there sheesha with coffee base makes up for it.

Bromfy public house

It's one of the most popular lounge amongst north campus students. It's not only known for its cheap sheesha and alcohol but also for its nice music and classy ambience. Unlike other bars/ lounges the food has been paid enough attention to and is quite tasty.

The Beer Cafe 

As the name suggests they are known for their never ending variety of beers. The ambiance is very cheerful and not shady like other pubs in league. Though prices are a bit on higher side the service is quick and food served fresh & tasty.

Deez Biryani & Kebabs

They not only serve one of the best biryanis in city but they also conduct regular live performances and sports screenings. The drinks are moderately priced and the service is quite quick. A must visit if you want to indulge in GOOD FOOD along with not so expensive alcohol.

Sinciti ( chill'm)

They are know for their dirt cheap sheeshas and cooperative staff. They food is simple and hygienic. Overall a nice place to sit, chat and fun with your friends or the special one. ;)

Yes, booze is fun and it's okay to indulge in it once in a while but too much anything isn't good, no matter if it's something as good as alcohol. Life is a bitch, deal with it !

College life – most happening days

School days are the most perfect days of our life but college days are the most happening. 

We meet new people, see new places and  take a step towards our career.

But colleges are not meant for studies only. There is life beyond professor’s lectures. Most of the students believed this after spending some time in college.

Parthsarthy Rocks in Jawahar Lal Nehru University[JNU] campus. 

It is a gem of green spaces. One of the coolest places to hangout with friends and for couples to cuddle up in quiet corners. 

It just 5km distance from Hauz Khas metro station and after that you will be at the highest point in Delhi having wonderful wildlife like peacocks, foxes, scorpions and snakes though they don't bite and don't come out in daytime. The best time to visit this place is evenings watching sunsets,winds blowing and peacocks wandering around.

Very few people know about this place. It is one of the secrets of Delhi. This place reminds me of those lines from a song : 

Zindagi ek safar hai suhana..yaha kal kya ho kisne jana….
